• yay! happy LDW. the family and I are heading to NYC for the US Open. I can't wait to have some cocktails with my cousin- Penny Lane, site see with the family, watch some tennis, and take so many pictures. but before i go... aren't these 50's inspired kitchen appliances awesome? (via feast)

• hi! another week has begun... i can't believe August is almost over. isn't the room above fabulous? check out: my favorite little cupcake shop in St. Louis, some fun animal prints (i want the giraffe), a clothing line for lovers that is just GORGEOUS, envelopes, and the PERFECT summer shot!

Réunion Surf Bar

• tory burch's blog took me to Reunion Surf Bar... New York's laidback escape. ingredients are below for their signature concoction called the Mermaid. it sounds like the perfect cocktail for August... summer's last call.

2 oz. white rum

1.5 oz. lime juice

1.5 oz. simple syrup

0.5 cup fresh mint leaves

1 heaping cup ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Pulse two or three times then blend on high until smooth. Should be thin enough to pour out of blender with a good shake. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and peeled fresh sugarcane.
